That is why we are very thrilled to announce our newest campaign to support St. Vincent De Paul’s chapter at The Blessed Sacrament Parish.
For the past 175 years, The Society of St. Vincent de Paul has helped our most vulnerable communities. With thousands of volunteers providing 12.5 million hours of service, they have been able to change the lives of over 5.4 million people nationwide. Our local chapter, The Blessed Sacrament Ministry, has continually served those in need in the Wintersville and Bloomingdale areas since the 1970s with monthly food distributions and special holiday offerings. Each month between 150 and 200 people receive a minimum of 10 days’ food including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. At Thanksgiving, household and personal care items are included; Christmas, gifts for children; and at Easter, candy.
The volunteers at the Ministry truly love to serve their community and spread smiles, but they need our help to continue their efforts. Together, we can make a difference within the lives of so many community members in need.
